1. Press the slide button to leave out the air that’s in the lighter
2. Turn the lighter upside down & insert the butane tip
3. Push down the gas container for 5s and repeat 3-4 times
4. Shake the lighter and press the button 2 times till the butane catches
5. If during refueling it starts to leak that means the lighter is full already with Butane
